Matte about you

I have been on a nail polish craze lately.
My collection is slowly growing, which makes me very excited.

[nail color: Meet me Under the Mistletoe by Orly]
This matte finisher is really neat and dries super fast! I used the matte finisher on the bottom nail.
Basically, it takes the shine out of your nail polish, and gives it a smooth matte color.

Nude

[Top: H&M, Leggings: 7forallMankind, Necklace: Nordstrom, Heels: Aldo, Purse: KateSpade]

My favorite patent pumps are the 'Moos' by Aldo. I love them so much that I bought them in 3 different
shades of nude. I love the shape, the fit, the height, and the color. They are my go-to shoe for a night out.

These leggings are half leather and half spandex/stretchy material. You won't believe this but the original
price of these was $498!! Of course I didn't pay that much for them, I paid $40. I was in disbelief when I
 saw the original price.

[Nail polish: Rage and Tiara by Orly]

After seeing this pretty nail polish combo on SimplyXClassic, I absolutely had to go get this
myself! I have received so many compliments on my nails. The rose gold color is 'Rage', and
is topped by the silver glitter 'Tiara'.

I hope everyone's Christmas was wonderful!! Now it is time to ring in the New Year! =)

In the least expected places

While Christmas shopping, I randomly walked into PacSun to look at a men's shirt
I saw in the window, and I ended up coming across this open-back blouse for $15!
I have never bought anything from here, and maybe have gone inside the store 2 or 3
times in my life. I love coming across awesome finds in the least expected places.

In Houston, we have a street called Harwin, where there are a bunch of small shops that sell
jewelry and other items at wholesale price. I picked up this cool spiky-necklace from one of
the more popular stores, called SW Traders. Going into the store is very overwhelming because
there is literally jewelry everywhere you turn. So, you kinda have to look through everything to
find what you like. Alot of the jewelry is not my style but I can usually pick out a few good ones.

Leather + cotton

Hooray! I am finally done with all of my finals, and am ready to celebrate. I cannot wait to
go christmas shopping, hang out with friends, relax, practice my yoga, catch up on all of
my tv shows and BLOGGING of course! I am actually going to go to happy hour in an
hour, but wanted to put up a quick post!

[Jacket: UO, Scarf: H&M, Sweater: Gap, Jeans: 7forallMankind, Oxfords: SteveMadden]

I love that you can dress up a leather jacket or dress it down by adding a simple casual scarf. Recently, I have been in love with infinity scarves. Unfortunately, I only have one. Many that I've seen are expensive.
Maybe it's just me and my student-on-a-loans state of mind, but I don't think it's reasonable for me to pay
$30+ for a scarf. However, once I graduate and am making the real bucks, that's a different story.

These oxfords are super cute, but I must say that they are not the most comfortable shoe. However, come
to think of it, not many of the Steve Madden shoes that I own are comfortable. I don't consider Steve
Madden to be super expensive, but sometimes I don't think that I am getting what I paid for with their shoes.
What is your take on Steve Madden shoes?

Little Kardashians

Despite all the bad press the Kardashians get, I think all of them are fashion icons.
They are always fabulously dressed. My recent favorite Kardashian is Kendall. She
may be young but she has great style. I usually love whatever she's wearing.

Neutral colors are so in this fall. I've also seen a lot of assymetrical dresses. I wore one
that I got in LA in my previous post. I might have to pick up another because I love how
they look and flow. What do you guys think about their look? Who's your favorite Kardashian?

Health plug:
December 4-10 is National Influenza Vaccination Week
If you haven't already gotten your flu shot for the year, I highly recommend you getting one.
Every year, so many people come down with the flu and have to spend money on doctor visits
& medication when all of those costs could've been avoided by getting immunized. It's especially
important for the elderly, young children, pregnant women, and diabetic patients to get
vaccinated because they are more prone to complications with the flu.

Did you know? Most pharmacists are immunization certified, so you can go to your local
pharmacy, such as CVS or Walgreens, to get your flu shot!

Good Luck to everyone who are in the midst of their finals.
I know I'll be buried in my notes until Monday!
And to those that are so lucky as to not have to deal with finals, have a good week! :)

Shiny Legs

I don't get to go out as often as I would like due to my demanding school schedule, but when
I do, I enjoy getting ready. It's nice to get dolled up once in a while and whip out my heels.

I scored this awesome shiny black leggings from urban outfitters for $5 a few years ago.
However, it was my first time putting them to use last night. It took me a long time to actually
wear them because I wasn't sure if I could pull off the leggings-as-pants-look due to my curvy
body, but they turned out to look awesome! I love them, especially for the price I paid for them.
